Blue Tide Exteriors builds pergolas in cedar, pressure-treated pine, vinyl, and aluminum. Our pavilions feature solid roofs — standing-seam metal, shingle, or polycarbonate — with integrated ceiling fans, lighting, and electrical. Every structure is engineered for Louisiana wind loads, anchored to a proper foundation, and permitted through your local building department.
The difference between a pergola and a pavilion is simple: a pergola has open rafters (filtered shade), while a pavilion has a solid roof (full shade and rain protection). Most clients choose based on how they'll use the space — pergolas for dining areas where you want airflow, pavilions for outdoor kitchens and TVs where you need full weather protection.
